Hi, I'm David.
I build and maintain websites for local small businesses - and I'm the person you actually talk to, not a form or a call center.
Why local small businesses?
I love where I live, and a lot of why it feels like home is the small businesses in it. The taquería that knows your order. The shop where the owner remembers your name. The places that keep a neighborhood connected instead of interchangeable. They're what make a community feel real - and most of them are too busy running the place to wrestle with a website. That's the part I take off their plate.
What I've built
I've built software for a living for years. I spent four of them at Fold - a bitcoin finance company I joined as one of the first eleven people - building financial products through banks, card networks, and compliance reviews, and sticking with it through the crypto winter all the way to a Nasdaq IPO.
On my own, I build and maintain things like Story Mode (a live AI storytelling app) and CoApply (an open-source job-search tool). Tortillería Río Grande is one of mine too. So your site won't be a template I dressed up - it'll be built and kept running by someone who ships software for a living.
How I work with you
You text me, I answer. I build it, you own it - the domain is in your name, never locked to a platform. When something changes - new hours, a price, a fresh photo - you tell me and it's done, usually the same day. No ticket queue. No agency markup. Just a real website, handled.
